The tBLE-720 module is designed for serial network like RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485. It allow RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 interface to be converted to Bluetooth low energy (LE) piconet network. User can choose tBLE-720 or mobile device (e.g. smart phone, tablet or notebook) to do the connection, which provides Bluetooth LE data conversion between two devices. The tBLE-720 has two transmission modes – advertisement and connection mode. Users not only can send advertising packet in the advertisement mode but also can send connection packet in the connection mode. It supports different roles in each transmission mode. One is broadcaster and observer in advertisement mode, and the others is central and peripheral in connection mode. User can use dip switch to change transmission mode and role. The tBLE-720 supports a lot of useful AT commands. They can set many parameters such as connection parameters, broadcast parameters. The tBLE-720 also provides slave security mechanism. The mechanism can obstruct illegal master, and the slave will ignore connection request from illegal master. In addition, ICPDAS provides software utility to easily configure and test the tBLE-720 modules via RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485.
