The ET-2217 is a module with 8-channel differential or 16 single-ended analog input module. The module provides a programmable input range on all Analog Input channels (±150 mV, ±500 mV, ±1 V, ±2.5 V, ±5 V, ±10 V, 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20mA, and ±20 mA). Each analog input channel can be configured for an individual input range, providing high overvoltage protection of 120 VDC and 50mA overcurrent protection at 110 VDC/VAC. Voltage and current input is DIP switch selectable.

The sampling rate of the ET-2217 is adjustable and can be set to either fast (200Hz) or normal (20Hz) mode. It can be used to record voltage and current information. The module also features per-channel open wire detection for 4 to 20 mA input and provides 4 kV ESD/EFT protection, 2 kV Surge protection, and 3000 VDC intra-module isolation.

ET-2217 module supports MQTT protocol and can act as a message publisher and subscriber. After connecting to the server MQTT Broker, the I/O status of the module can be published in the form of a topic, and can also receive messages from the same subscription topics. In communication, when the ET-2217 module is disconnected from the broker, the module has a reconnection mechanism that can automatically reconnect with the broker. In addition, there is a Keep-Alive Interval mechanism to ensure that the connection with the Broker is always maintained.

The ET-2217 supports the standard SNMP V2c specification. Through this specification, ET-2200 can transmit module information and I/O information to SNMP network management equipment or software (SNMP Network Management Software) to help administrators monitor the status of ET-2217 in real time. If the Trap function is enabled, when the module I/O status changes or reboots, it can send a message to the manager to keep track of the channel status at any time.
